Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Exam (MB-800) will be available in October 2020

The Dynamics Business Central community was becoming impatient not having exams to certify the best BC professionals.

The announcement for the return of Business Central certifications was made last year during Direction EMEA and the confirmation last week during remote Microsoft Inspire.

Yes, for now there will be only a new exam MB-800 (Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Exam). After passing, the consultant will get the certification Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate.

And the question for a lot of us will be: should I try to pass the exam during the BETA or wait until it is LIVE?

Personally, I will try during the BETA. I will explain why:

• Cheaper

• During the exam, we are able to comment the ambiguous questions and MSFT will review the comments. If they accept your comment, your answer will be considered as Correct. This information is not posted officially by MSFT but it was shared off-the-record by MSFT FTE.

• Past good experience trying other BETA exams always with a PASS score.

• I work daily with Business Central so no really need to study. Just follow the Learn path (when available).

Please consider that after finishing the exam during BETA, you will not get immediately the score. You need to wait until it is promoted to LIVE.
